The Grandaddy Of All Estate Sales!

If the last estate sale I reported was the Mother Of All Estate Sales, then this one was the Grandaddy! I love it when one sale wipes you out. But it’s torture when there’s so much still there that couldn’t come home with me. This time, I took pictures of the sale. Sixteen pictures follow. Do I put them in a gallery? Or put each picture on here individually? Hmmm…. Individuals or gallery? Gallery or individuals? A gallery would save time, but the narrative wouldn’t go along as well so, brace yourself. Here they come!

The sale was advertised as a country sale with barns. Barns? That’s all it takes to get me there! The driveway was long and uphill. Good exercise.

The first thing I saw were these totem things. Well, this just might be an interesting sale!

Rounding the corner from the totem things was this barn. Sorry for the blurry picture.

Behind the barn was ONE of the half buried cars.

Can you guess what on this wall made me crawl over junk and stand on a stack of lumber then use a long pole to reach? (Did that make sense? By the time I got to the end of that sentence, I forgot what I started to say.)

Leaving that barn, the floral hobby, out-building was next. There was actually more than it appears in this picture. More different things. Not just plastic flowers.

Some, just some, of the toys.

Another room.

A small part of one wall in the center of the basement. This was probably a fourth of this wall area and all were just as full.

Another part of the basement.

Some of their Americana collection.

I missed this guy going in. Look at the size of him! Do you see the man in the background? This stuffed animal was nearly as tall as me!

These pictures don’t even begin to show the magnitude of this sale, but are a sample of the amount of things in every nook and cranny. The things that came home with me will be saved for the next post, hopefully tomorrow. I’ll leave you with this poor, little, cockeyed baby.

  1. OMG! That sale looks like something off the American Pickers Show! Couldn’t they have had a garage sale every so 10 yrs??? How do people accumulate that much stuff? I thought the totum poles were weird until I saw the outhouse full of plastic grave site flowers and then that whop-eyed doll is way too scary! Have you seen “Chucky?” Cant wait to see what you got. Luv from your youngest gal pal, Tiff

  2. You certainly do find the best sales Wanda…..looking forward to seeing what you bought!

  3. There is a collapsible laundry basket on that wall. The round kind. The kind that no one at any flea market is EVER willing to sell to me.

  4. OMG, I think I would have died and gone to heaven if I was there! I have NEVER been to a sale like that, only in my dreams 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you hauled back home with you!

  5. I’m hoping you got that laundry basket!

  6. Some time before, I really needed to buy a house for my organization but I didn’t earn enough cash and could not buy something. Thank goodness my mate proposed to get the home loans from trustworthy bank. Hence, I did that and was satisfied with my sba loan.

  7. Make your own life time more simple get the business loans and all you need.
