Before and after painted chest

Disclosure: Some of the links in the post below are "affiliate links."

This chest has been with me a while, waiting for some kind of transformation. The original finish was nothing to be admired. Maybe, maybe, once upon a time, but no longer.

We could have refinished it, but it just seemed to need something else. More. This is the end product.

(Again, I forgot to get a picture before it left the house and forgot to get the picture when we took it to the mall. Had to get my friend Jeri to take the after picture for me. Thank you Jeri!)

It now has a green stain and the handles are bronze colored. It’s at Longleaf Antique Mall in Alexander City, Alabama.

  1. WOW, what a difference. This soft green is a lovely color and completely changes the look of the furniture.

  2. I like the soft green Wanda. I could paint furniture and walls til February and never leave the house. That is how much I have to do and I am not doing any of it.
