25 Days of Christmas – Day 3

Vintage Nativity

Nativity scene #1

Christmas Candle Shape Candles

Part of the fun of getting Christmas decorations out is finding things I bought during the year that I’d forgot about. These are old Gurley candle candles. A little messed up, but I like them.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I have no time!!! Well, I have as much time as everyone else in the world. Maybe I don’t use it wisely. I know I work slow. Today was spent getting packages ready for the mail carrier and taking pictures of things to put on the site and eBay. Oh, how awful to have to sell to pay the rent! It monopolizes my time.

Christmas Jewelry

I’m dashing this post quickly, getting ready to make a Hobby Lobby run to get a Christmas tree for the shop. A little later than most businesses, huh? Of course our town is too small for a Hobby Lobby, so we’ll make the 45 mile trek tonight. At least we’ll get a good meal while we’re out.

25 Days of Christmas – Day 2

Vintage Santa Pins

Ain’t much, but it’s sumthin.

These are actually pins. I’ve got them stuck to the wall with Glue Dots. Got up this morning and had had one fatality. The one on the right had crashed to the ground, but he got right back up there. Not sure if this is going to work long term or not. Those sheep pictures are over my sheep collection. The oval picture is from Sue at Vintage Rescue Squad and I’m loving it! A full picture of the sheep collection and prints is for another day. Another day after Christmas.

So far, I know Connie at Magnolia Street Style is posting Christmas pics and Iris at 365 Days In Guntersville (Alabama) is showing Christmas scenes. How about you? Come on, now! Snap to!

25 Days of Christmas Pictures

Vintage White Flocked Christmas Wreath

~~~~~~
The wreath pictured above got to be the first thing I put out this year. And except for four Santas is the only thing so far. It’s a vintage, flocked wreath with 4 simple balls. I’ve used it just as it is, going bald, ugly ribbon bow and everything. It leaves a trail of white flocking everywhere it goes. A vintage, but a bit messed up, Sarah Coventry pin holds it on the curtain rod. The color in the picture isn’t good, but it’s harrrd for me to point at a window and get a decent picture.
The Turkey Mantle
Thanksgiving Mantle of Vintage Turkeys
(Click the picture for a larger view)
Kinda the same as last year. But at least I got it out! I didn’t do 4th of July or Halloween this year. Not because I didn’t want to. There just hasn’t been time.
Not many words today. Since I haven’t had many pictures lately, I thought I’d just show some of the things I’ve found in the past couple of weeks.
11-24-08-2
A Goebel Madonna, a K. Adams enamel plate, funky pillow, Paris scenes framed tiles, two pink Depression dishes I liked for candle holders, Rooster stove set, pair of Tappan stove trays/ burner covers, Danish modern candlesticks, blue windmill tile, a lot of Gorham Summer Sky glasses, large fashion prints, old owl stationery, pink ceiling globe and a amateur roses painting. There’s been more, but that’s all I have pictures of at the moment.
Y’all have a great Thanksgiving!
