Finally continuing sharing my vintage Christmas co Finally continuing sharing my vintage Christmas collection display for 2024. Today's share is the snowmen and pinecone elves. Again, this display was with much help from my friend Melanie. She had such great ideas! I think I need to start hiring her! The snowglobe is my mother and me in Lufkin, TX in 1963. We were only there for 6 months for my dad's job training before coming back home to Alabama, and got to experience an east Texas snow. #vintagesnowmen #vintagesnowmencollection #vintagechristmas
We've temporarily been pretty focused on Christmas We've temporarily been pretty focused on Christmas in the booth, but not totally. W're ALWAYS focused on vintage. Here are some of the latest, vintage decor additions, both young vintage and old vintage. In these pictures: Old covered cricket stool Metal, glass top side table Chinoiserie eggs and a very unique pipe holder/ashtray 1960s pink woven bathroom cabinet American Girl furniture (Not the oldest vintage, but not brand new, either.) Small, pretty, gold tone throw rug - that I thought about getting for myself, but like Erin, who found it first, I couldn't think of a spot for it. Just give me time, though.... 3 large frames Pretty pillow Wicker chair Where is it again that you can see all this wonderfulness? Why, at Angel's Antique and Flea Mall in Opelika, Alabama, booth F26! We will also ship small items if they're still available. You would need to let us know so we could get it from the mall. *They* don't ship.
People think that antique/vintage dealers always k People think that antique/vintage dealers always keep "the good stuff" and sometimes I do. This is not one of those times. I'm keeping it, but it's definitely not "the good stuff." The Eastlake dresser fits the spot here better than what I was using as a placeholder, and I didn't pay much for it, but if you'll notice, knobs are missing, the ones that are there are wrong, and some of the medallion thingies - the word for them leaves me - are broken. The broken things don't bother me. Neither does the chewed foot in the back or the holes in the top where there was once a mirror or something attached, but the knobs I'd like for it would cost me nearly $100!! I will probably sell it in the future if I find something that fits the spot better than this, so I can't invest that much in the knobs. The search is on. As an aside, the nativity and the small Santa in front (swipe to see him) are the very ones that have been with me literally all my life. The Putz houses. (Ok. Maybe not all technically Pu The Putz houses. (Ok. Maybe not all technically Putz, but I call them that anyway. Definitely vintage.) And aren't those paintings perfect with them? They all came from different estates, although the two big canvases look like they belong together. My sweet friend, Melanie, @mellieseams came over and helped me decorate. She arranged the houses and paintings for me.
