Vintage Vignette In the Foyer

Vintage vignette in the foyer

I read years ago that the candles we use in our decor should have burned wicks. Frankly, I’m doing well to even have candles in my candlesticks! These were getting pretty dusty, so I figured they could do with some wax melted on the dust and lit ’em up.

Vintage vignette on a small wall in our foyer. Foyer decor.

This little wall space is in the foyer. The layout from the front door is a smaller wall, the half bath or powder room, then this little space.

It’s continually evolving…… okay. Maybe not continually, but I do make changes and add or subtract things occasionally, but it never seems to stray too far from the present look.

Everything here, except the chest, was bought at estate or yard sales. The chest actually came from an antique mall. I don’t very often buy at shops and malls. I’m definitely not my ideal customer, but I believe it’s because I’m a lifelong thrifter, furnishing my home on a tight budget over the years through yard and estate sales. But I do, every once in a while, find something at an antique mall or shop that has to come home with me. The chest was one of those things. $200, I believe.

SHOP THE LOOK

For your convenience, I’ve searched Etsy and eBay and put together lists that should include the items pictured. These lists change often and won’t have the same things all the time. They might not have the exact items as in my photos, but will have similar items for sure. These are affiliate links that, I’m sure you know by now, mean if you purchase something, I’ll get a few cents from the sale at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your support!
