Don’t limit your home decor to year-round same-ol’. Do some holiday decorating! Bring out your vintage holiday decorations. Don’t have any? Then times a-wasting. Start collecting now! Vintage Christmas is the easiest to find. But don’t forget about Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, patriotic holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving. There’s no reason our homes should be boring and always look the same.
Are you sick of seeing Thanksgiving decorations? Just this one more. I was supposed to do this the first of the month, but totally forgot. It’s the rest of Tiffany’s fall decor. The vignettes that are more Thanksgiving-y. Let me say though, that I’m truly ashamed to show these pictures. They are horrible pics of fabulous vignettes. My photography skills and the camera I was using don’t let all of the beauty of her arrangements show through. It’s not completely lost, however and just know that what you see is 10 times more lovely in person. So here goes.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all! On to the Christmas decorations!
Now, my meager mantle isn’t anything close to Tiffany’s fabulousness all over her house, but somehow, I just can’t spread my little collection around. Don’t know if my house doesn’t want the fall things all over or if I’m just lazy. Yeah, OK. Lazy. I’ll own that. But I did get the decorations out this year! I’m “rite proud” of that.
The collection is a mixture of new and old. Good and dollar store junk. All fun.
The tinys (tinies?) sitting on a chair claw foot.
I wish I could say I planned the picture above just the way it is with the cat peeking in at the corner, but have to admit it was purely accident. And, um, are they horrified at the face behind the camera? That giant with a strange, little device in her hand?

Consensus on the last post says the tin safe thing is an old bread box.

We’re going to the Country Living Fair in Georgia tomorrow! I’m hoping to meet several bloggers there. Got to figure out just who all will be set up. I do know Tricia of Red Door Antiques will be set up. Who else? Maybe, just maybe I’ll be diligent with the picture taking. Or maybe I’ll use Tiffany’s pics. Speaking of Tiff, she’s trying to come up with a blog name. Can’t wait for her to start blogging!
First, I’ll apologize for the millioneth time for my poor photography skills. I’m now convinced I need a DSLR camera. With special lenses. And some instructions for taking interior pictures. My little camera does a good job taking close-ups of items under the light tent, but for inside decor shots? Forget it! Ugh. But I trudge along.
Tiffany has such a great collection of vintage Halloween and displays it so well. Here are some pictures to inspire you.
Hope you enjoyed the fall tour of Tiffany’s home! A few Thanksgiving turkeys got in the pictures, but I’m saving most of them for next month.
My, my, my. Tsk, tsk. I really dropped the ball on this one, didn’t I? I’d hoped to have enough ahead of time to automate posts while sailing the high seas of the Gulf of Mexico. Ha! Obviously that didn’t happen. Since my return, not much has been done in the way of decorating – or Christmas shopping. I’ve tried, but working during the month of December is for the birds! So I dug up last year’s pictures. Many of you have seen all these, but some haven’t, so here goes.
We’re enjoying my son and daughter-in-law and granddog visiting with us for the week. We don’t get to see them often enough.
My aunt died this week and we spent the day yesterday funeral-ing. It was a one day thing. 10-3. God bless her. She had Alzheimer’s and hadn’t really been with us for awhile now. It was time to let go.
I did my last minute shopping this morning. Everyone else is just getting a check.
We had Ricky’s family over Sunday night. Twenty two adults, three little kids and two babies. Had a ball!
My second Christmas. See Santa? I’ve still got him. See the picture below. He’s beat up now and has a burn mark on his stomach from using too hot a bulb. We just call it heart burn.
Tomorrow is my dad and our extended family. We’re doing Christmas dinner, supper if you’re from the south, at my house. I’m still dragging out decorations, but today I’m at the shop in case there are any last minute shoppers. I’m about to give up hope.
First grade Christmas program.
Merry Christmas all!

Hi! I'm Wanda, the owner of Just Vintage and this is my blog where I talk about buying, selling, and decorating with all things vintage. I want to help you learn what to buy for resale and maybe give you inspiration in decorating, even if it's what NOT to do.
