I’m getting tired of digging through my “for sale” stash. I need to see something new. Something different. So I got out this weekend. I went to 3 or 4 on Friday and 10 out of 16 on Saturday. 

With the Saturday list, I got the brilliant idea of doing a reverse address look up on whitepages.com. See, when you do a reverse look up, it gives, not only the names, but the ages of the people living in the house. So, if it’s 20 or 30 somethings, I won’t be in a hurry, but if they’re 65+, well, that could mean an estate sale being called a yard sale or maybe they’re living, but cleaning out stuff they’ve had 40-50 years. Ya just never know.

Two weekends ago, there was a great sounding estate sale advertised about 45 miles from here. I’ve gotten out of the habit of making that trip, but the pictures of this sale were rather irresistible. Tables full of Christmas plus the words, “60 years of accumulation” will get me every time. It looked like some of the sales Tiffany and I get to do. TONS of stuff. And I know how our sales are. There’s something for everyone and at the end, when we can literally pack it all up in 10 boxes, there are still things I can get and resell. So why wouldn’t this sale be the same? I picked up our local want ads paper to see what might be going on in the way of sales this weekend and saw one advertised for Thursday (today) at 2:00. It was already almost three, but I figured I’d go see what they had. It turned out to be a no show. Glad it was only a couple of miles away.
