Vintage, collectible potholder, a Velvo Flour advertising potholder. The slogan on the front reads, For Best Results Use VELVO FLOUR and VELVO CORN MEAL MIX.
The collectible potholder is 5-1/2″ square. The front is the color of unbleached muslin. The back is yellow with fruit prints. Both the front and back appear, to me, to be the material flour sacks were made from. It is quilted in a zig-zag (chevron) stitch. My best guess as to age is 1950s-early 1960s.
It is used and very lightly stained.
