Antique, ambrotype in a small, thick, gutta percha case made by Littlefield Parsons & Co. The man is unidentified. He is holding a cane in his right hand (Hand is not in the picture) and his left hand is in his suit breast Napolean style. The photo and glass covering it are surrounded by a brass frame.

The case is 3″ x 2-1/2″ and 5/8″ thick. The hinges are slightly loose. The embossed design is of a large sheave of wheat, what looks like a bee skep and some farming tools – a sicle, a rake and a pitchfork, all surrounded by a floral border.

Inside the case, one side is red velvet with an impressed design. Behind the picture is the company information:
