Are you old enough to remember the Summer of Love? Maybe you’ve heard your parents talk about it or have seen the many documentaries made about the 1960s. This product box embraces the romantic view of the hippie ideal. Love and innocence.
The box graphic is a hippie chick, bathing beauty surrounded by flowers. It originally housed a shower curtain from Sears and Roebuck. The shower curtain is long gone, but the previous owner must have thought this box was as cool as I do and very much worth saving.
The young lady is nude – the naughty bits are artfully covered by her arm and leg – and is standing in a bed of pink, fuchsia and yellow flowers. The same flowers are in her long, flowing, blond hair. Two butterflies fly above the flowers. It is 10″ square and in good condition, however something with a little weight sat on the top causing it to dip in the center.
