Vintage, hooked top round footstool, probably made in the 1960s and still sturdy. The hooked rug top is gold, green, and cream. It has four, maple wood turned legs and plastic tips for floor protection. It is about 12-1/2″ in diameter by 8-1/2″ tall. The legs do have some scuffs. It was used but the hooked top, I assume it’s wool or a blend, is only lightly soiled. It has a spot where the wool/blend strip came unhooked and another that appears to be the end that came untucked. There are a few other much less noticeable areas of unevenness. The padding is no longer quite even with seemingly more padding toward the middle. Underneath, the metal plates holding the legs on show rust, but the screws are holding everything securely. The heavy paper-like cover on the bottom looks like it might have gotten wet at some point, but there is no evidence of damage to the stool. I can put my full 120 lb. weight on it with no wobbles or give. My description makes it sound… um… let’s jus say…not fabulous, but I don’t hold anything back. The pictures are true and as you can see it doesn’t look nearly as bad as I make it sound.
The “do not remove” tag on the bottom tells us it was made by Crawford a Division of Indian Head, Inc., Richmond Virginia.
