Studio pottery vase, or weed pot, vivid blue with a partial, outer, chunky, rough texture, sort of resembling a pine cone. The top of this closest to the neck has gray pigment. The outer layer appears to have been fired separately. It is 6″ high and about 5″ in diameter at the widest. The neck opening is 1-3/4″ in diameter.
The signature is Tom Gunter (or Hunter) and it is dated 1971. Possibly thrown in Alabama.
