Beautiful, purple slag glass candy dish. It is a tall pedestal dish with lid. Standing almost 10″ tall to the top of the lid’s knob, it is in perfect condition. The swirls are so pretty, ranging from deep purple to the palest, almost white, lavender.
I’ve seen this particular candy dish attributed to both Westmoreland and Imperial. This one is not marked. I don’t know who produced it nor the age. There are two mold lines. The glass is about 1/8′” thick, about 1/8″ and it is quite heavy. The knob has molded laurel leaves going up to the top.
There is a disruption to the swirl pattern on one side. Please see all the pictures.
