Vintage homemade vanilla ice cream recipe I grew up with. It probably came with the ice cream freezer my parents bought in the 1950s or 60s. So deliciously rich.
3 eggs
1 can condensed milk
1 cup sugar
2 quarts milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
Mix all ingredients and follow the instructions with your ice cream freezer.

Fun to re-visit this! Some of my best memories as a child of the 60’s were family gatherings and holidays of the summer which usually included this delicious ice cream; sometimes with fresh peaches or other fruit, but also outstanding on its own. And of course helping dad turn the crank upped the anticipation:) Thank you for the recipe and memory!
