Vintage, treasure chest jewelry box, 10″ long, 7-1/2″ wide, and 6″ deep. The inside depth of the bottom part of the box is 2-1/4″. This box is NOT lined, nor does it have a tray insert. I don’t believe it ever had either lining or a tray. The outside has 4 bands held on with decorative tacks, metal (I believe brass) lion’s heads with rings door knocker style, medallions on each end, and smaller, metal rings on each end. It has a decorative latch. The eye bolt that would hold the lock has been replaced and the screw end protrudes to the inside of the box. The padlock is no longer with the box.
There is some wear to the edges and I the metal has naturally aged patina, but overall, it’s in good condition.
