Vintage slide rule with case from Pickett. The slide rule is pale yellow metal with several areas where the paint is chipping off. The case, now that’s an interesting item. It had belonged to Phillip who was in love with his high school sweetheart, Ella Jo, as was written on the front and the back. (If I remember correctly, I bought this from his estate and his kids said that they each married someone else.) The case is very worn with holes and threadbare places.
So….. you can find slide rules in better condition than this one, but you probably won’t find another with the young love of teenage sweethearts written on the case!
