Antique crazy quilt square made of strips of silk fabrics. It has been stitched onto a flattened, light weight paper sack. The fabrics look like they could be from the 1930s or so, however I remember seeing paper bags in this style from my childhood in the 1960s. The bag could be older and/or the fabric could be newer.
Size: 16″ x 18″
Colors: Blues, peaches, pale burgundies.
Condition: Fragile. Several of the strips have torn through disintegration as silk will do over time. I’ve tried to show this in the pictures. I would consider this suitable from framing, and not to be used in a quilt.
