Black and white Saint Louis Zoological Garden souvenir guide book, copyright 1937. However, the previous owner’s name and the date 1939 is penciled in on the cover. The garden probably used the same guide book for a few years before issuing a new one.
It includes pictures and info about the animals as well as a color map of the garden.
The cover features a polar bear sitting upright and has an arc of pictures taken in sequence of the bear diving into the water. The cover is black and white pictures on a pale green background. All pictures inside are black and white.
The book is 9″ x 12″ and 80 pages. It’s in fair to good condition. There are stains on the cover, there is corner and edge wear and the lower right corner for several pages is bent.
