Nothing says 1960s quite like vibrant, butterfly art. This plastic serving tray from Deka is absolutely stunning! The butterflies are basic line drawing with colors filled in. And there are so many colors: orange, red, peach, yellow, blue, turquoise, green, purple, navy, pink. All are outlined in a thick black line.
The platter is 13″ diameter and in beautiful condition. There *are* minute scratches, but they are hard to see. It has a nice, polished shine. There is a faint color bleed under the blue butterfly. This is pictured in the second picture with arrows pointing to the bleed. It is faint, but easily seen once you spot it. The edge of the platter feels a little rough and there is one spot that could possibly be a tiny chip, but I believe all the edge roughness is simply from not being cut cleanly from the mold.
The back mark reads – No. 140 – Elizabeth N.J. – and has the Deka trademark.
