Folk art painting is such a classic. There’s always a place for tole or folk art painting, especially with primitive decor, Pennsylvania Dutch and French Provencial. Peter Hunt made it quite popular in the 1930’s, employing many artists to paint in his style and selling to major department stores. Then Priscilla Hauser was instrumental in bringing it back in the lime light in the 1960’s onward.
This vintage, tole painting book contains the complete reproduction of Peter Hunt’s workbook. It has instructions with black and white pictures and line drawings with some color pictures as well.
9″ x 11″, 76 page, paper cover, spine stapled book. In good condition. Cover is very lightly soiled and corners are slightly bent.
