Vintage Spunky Dogs – Magnetic Scottie Dogs – A Five and Dime Toy Still In Original Package

Vintage magnetic “Spunky Dogs” – “They attract and repel.” These little Scottie dogs, one black and one white, are still in their original package that probably came from the 5 and dime store. Usually the packaging states they were made in Hong Kong, but these do not have a country of origin leading me to believe they are older than most that we see. And I’ve yet to find one with a red cardboard backing inside the package.

The little dogs are each about 3/4″ long. The package size, including the cardboard header and plastic is 4″ x 2″.

A fun, little childhood memory for those of us who remember rummaging through the 5¢ & 10¢ store.
