Vintage, collectible, Fraternal Order Of Eagles, restaurant ware dish. Made by Walker China in 1959.
It is a small, 4-5/8″ diameter bowl. FOE 2617 is stamped or painted on the edge and the dish has a brown line around the circumference of the edge. It is either a small, fruit bowl or a bowl for butter pats. The sides are not quite an inch tall.
The back is marked “Walker China Vitrified Bedford, Ohio 4-37.” The 4-37 indicating that it was produced in April of 1959.
There are two hairline cracks on both front and back that can be seen in the close up pictures. These hairlines allowed the pottery to stain around them. These are hard to explain. You see, and even feel them, but the pottery doesn’t sound dead like it usually does with hairline cracks. It’s almost like they’re under the glaze, but I can’t say that that is the case. The rim has some staining as well.
