Vintage Sara Lee tin full of vintage buttons. The tin, while not the deceiving cookie tin, is a Sara Lee fruitcake tin, so not as tempting to open for a cookie. Being red, and fruitcake, however, it is fun to use with your vintage Christmas decorations. It is in scratched and dented condition. The vintage buttons are both carded and loose. I’m selling these “as found” at an estate sale. As someone who has a hard time resisting buttons and has reached her saturation point of buttons, I refrained from examining them closely. With just the cursory look, letting them fall through my fingers, and spreading a random handful out for the photo, I didn’t see anything remarkable. But they are still good for crafting or displaying. If you find one that you could sell and pay next month’s mortgage payment, don’t tell me!
The tin, as mentioned above, is scratched and dented. It is 7″ in diameter and 2-1/2″ high. It’s the Dark fruitcake, “mellowed with cherry & brandy.” Lithograph, made in USA. No date and no UPC code.
