Vintage brass teapot with an unusual spout end, presumably to eliminate drips and spills. It is about 10-1/2″ to the top of the handle and about 9-1/2″ from the tip of the spout to the other side. It has a simple decoration of 3, thin, grooved lines encircling the circumference. It has aged patina and I’ve chosen to leave it to let you decide whether to polish or not. It is evident where the handle was originally soldered onto the body on each side. There is also an odd spot of what appears to be solder flux on the side of the knob.
I’ve seen two or three others like this teapot and some people are calling it antique however, I feel it was made in India sometime between the 1960s and 1990s. But I could very well be wrong about that and maybe it *is* antique.
