Amoeba shape with Jack In the Pulpit style candy dish in green, swirl glass. It’s an irregular, amoeba shape with one side curled up and over. The inside of the bowl is smooth, but the swirls can be felt on the outside.
It is about 7″ x 5″ and stands 2-3″ high.
It is molded glass with one seam. The bottom has a star design, but there is no indication of maker. The glass does have flaws, some lines that could be mistaken for hairlines, but they seem to have happened in the manufacturing process. I find no damage that would have happened later.
The age of this little bowl is unknown. I found it at the estate of an eccentric, vivacious lady. Her tiny house was packed full of items from the 1950’s through the early 2000’s. Mid century modern sitting next to 1980’s geese. Quite an interesting mix.
